FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS

Which airlines should I fly with?

Any! We usually travel with Delta or KLM but you can choose any airline you feel
comfortable with. Some people like doing overnight layovers in Amsterdam, etc.
to see new places along the way!

Which airport should I fly to?

Cape Town International Airport.

Do you have any other travel tips?

We recommend booking directly with your chosen airline or via Expedia.com
(which is the website we usually utilize).

If you have a layover, make sure it's long enough for you to easily make your connecting flight on time. We usually suggest layovers of at least 2.5 hours.

Make sure your passports are up to date!

When should I plan on flying to South Africa?

Completely up to you! The entire trip can take up to 2 days and the South African time zone is 10 hours ahead of California. Also, keep in mind that you may experience jet lag, so it might be a good idea to travel the weekend before the wedding (03/01/2024-03/03/2024).

The couple, along with a few family members will be flying back to the US on the Sunday after the wedding (03/10/2024).

Where should I stay in South Africa?

The wedding venue is located in the Constantia valley area of Cape Town. Feel free to stay anywhere in the surrounding area or even closer to the bay if you prefer. We compiled a detailed list of hotels, guest houses, and cottages for your convenience. This is not an exhaustive list as there are so many wonderful accommodation options in and around Cape Town. AirBnB is an amazing and convenient tool as well.

How do I RSVP?

We invite you to RSVP online.

When should I RSVP?

Please RSVP here on or before the 2nd of February 2024.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

Do you have a wedding registry?

Our wedding registry can be found here.

Could you suggest places to eat, drink, and see while I'm in town?

Definitely! Although Google might be a better resource. We recommend TripAdvisor for all things accommodation, restaurants, activities, and tourist attractions. AllTrails is also amazing for finding the best lookout points, hiking trails, and scenic areas in Cape Town!

We created a list of popular tourist attractions in and around Cape Town, though. As with our list of accommodations, these are merely the tip of the iceberg of all that Cape Town has to offer, so feel free to do some more research!

Will there be other events to attend during the “wedding week”?

All of our guests are invited to join us for the rehearsal dinner on the evening before our wedding. Details to follow.
